Coronary artery disease in India is on the rise. Although there are a lot of primary care strategies in place to increase awareness among the general public, tertiary care needs are high. India needs more centers providing cardiac surgery, in particular coronary artery surgery. There is a demand for centers providing affordable and personalized cardiac surgery care. With this in view CCC (Chennai Cardiac Centre) and Billroth group of hospitals have started a cardiac surgery centre in Chennai Kaliappa hospital, RA puram Chennai.
Chennai Kaliappa, has been taken over by Billroth group of hospitals and has undergone complete renovation. This is a modern 103 bedded hospital in the heart of Chennai. Chennai Cardiac Centre is formed by a young and dynamic cardiac surgery team consisting of a cardiac surgeon Dr.S.Thiagarajamurthy, cardiac anesthetists Dr.Mahadevan.R and Dr.K.Nedumaran. The team has wide experience in all aspects of adult cardiac and thoracic surgeries and led by Chief Cardiac Surgeon from UK. |
